How do you treat your skin?
One of the most important things we can do to stay younger looking longer is to take care of our skin. You ae never too young to start a good cleansing and moisturizing program. Skin products today are light years ahead of products available even 10 years ago. There are vitamin C's and vitamin A's and retinols and antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid and all kinds of chemical peels. Some products are to be used daily and some are used only once a month or even only once or twice. There is a dramatic difference in skin that has been protected and cared for and skin that has been abused. Of course, the most damage comes from the sun. Even in the winter months or on cloudy days the sun still is harmful. One of the most important things anyone can do for their skin is to use sun screen every day. Just make it part of your routine. Don't even think about it, just put it on under your makeup. Everyone over 45 could benefit from some kind of retinol and vitamin C product. These get down in the deep layers and increase cellular production thereby helping prevent wrinkles. Antioxidants help protect from the destruction of free radicals. Come in and talk to one of our master estheticians and learn what you can do to keep your skin it's healthiest. It will pay off big time.

What to do with that tax reund?
Wondering what to do with your tax refund this year? Well, there are probably a lot of things that could be done with it, but a breast augmentation would be an exciting thing to do. It's a great time of year for it, too. If you do it soon, you'll be well healed and in great shape for this year's swimsuit season. Give it some thought.

Give Botox a try!
Have you tried botox yet? If you have people avoiding you because you look like you're going to attack all the time maybe you should look at getting rid of those two deep scowl lines between your eyebrows. Those deep grooves are caused by years of the underlying muscles in that area pulling on the soft overlying skin. Result--deep grooves. Botox in the area can be a miracle in relaxing those muscles and making you look less tense--and less "scowly". Botox injections last for 3-5 months in most people. The usual areas that are injected are between the eyebrows and around the eyes. Try it--you'll like it!

Weight Loss vs. Liposuction
Did you know that we have most of the fat cells we're ever going to have by the time we're 1 or 2 years old? After that we just fill them up with fat or shrink them up when we reduce. Unfortunately, statistics prove that the vast majority of people who lose weight have put it back on (often with additional weight) within 4-5 years. That can be pretty discouraging. While liposuction is not a weight loss plan, it can be a valuable tool in changing your shape. When fat is removed from an area through liposuction, those fat cells are no longer a factor because they are gone. Even if you did gain some weight you will always maintain the new shape because the "storage units" are gone---forever.
Liposuction is the procedure to change the shape that you genetically have been given. So if Mother Nature ordains that you have saddle bags on the sides of your thighs, liposuction can reduce those storage centers changing that particular shape. It's a great procedure---one of the most popular cosmetic procedures preformed in the United States and the World today.

Skin Issues
Is your skin kind of blotchy with uneven skin tone and spots? For almost no down time you might really like an IPL treatment. Intense Pulse Light treatment is a laser treatment where the laser energy penetrates down into the lower levels of the skin and attack the melatonin in the skin. These discolorations then darken and rise to the top where they can be rubbed off with a hydrafacial or a midroderm scrub. This leaves your skin fabulously smooth and clearer. You will look totally refreshed. And who doesn't need som skin spiffing up in the dark of the winter. Give it a try. You'll be very surprized and pleased at how a series of three can make your skin look and feel.
Try it--You'll like it!

Refurbishing your face and eyes
Do you hate having your picture taken? Is it because of your eyes that make you always look so tired? Or maybe it's that jawline that used to be one of your best features and now is droopy and looks like Grandma Evelyn's. Do you have bulging lower eyelids and crepy looking cheeks? Do you just look old and tired? Each one of these things can be addressed by a procedure. Sometimes a Quicklift will give you back your youth and make you look as young as you still feel inside. Maybe even having your upper eyelids done or a laser resurfacing will give you that youthful skin again. Why wait? Winter's a great time to "do things".
