New massage therapist

There is nothing better than a long, deep massage. Whether it's just to treat yourself to some much needed tension relief or whether it is to help with a physical condition, massages are wonderful. We want you to know that we have a new massage therapist in our office. Her name is Janine Bleiweiss and she is a much welcome addition to our practice. She has many years of massage experience. Have you heard of lymphatic drainage massage? Well, if not, it's a technique that is utilized to help get built up fluids out of your tissues. It is very gentle and soft, but very, very effective. Janine is very skilled at this particular type of massage. We recommend that all of our post liposuction patients have a few sessions of lymphatic drainage massage to get extra fluids out of the tissues and get the best final result possible from their surgery. Janine is now taking appointments. Her usual days will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but she is quite versitile and will work to suit your schedule when she can. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a relaxing hour with Janine call our office at 801-295-6554. Talk to you soon!

Death Ride

Dr. Sellers has been in practice for about 25 years now. He still is very busy practicing medicine, but he does have some interesting hobbies that he persues in his limited time off. This last weekend he rode in the annual Death Ride . (Doesn't that sound like an invigorating option for your leisure time?) Anyway, the Death Ride is a 130 mile bike ride (yes, the kind that you peddle yourself) that is out of Lake Tahoe, California. What it amounts to, as far as I can tell, is riding up and down three mountains in the area (15,000 feet). The temperature of course can only be described as hot. It is completed in one day--unless of course you "expire". Hense the name "Death Ride". Dr. Sellers was able to complete the ride and returned to work Monday morning none the worse for wear--at least no visible wear. He will ride in several more bike races this summer, including Lotaja in September. He often goes for "little rides" of 50-60 miles just to keep in shape. It's pretty amazing. So when you're out and about, wave at all the bikers you pass--one of them may be Dr. Sellers.

The Eyes have it!

Nothing makes you look more tired and sad than eyelids that have started to droop. Blepharoplasty is the big medical word for eyelid surgery. It is a relatively quick procedure that can make you look awake, alert, rested and younger. And in our society, younger is good. Bags under the lower eyelids are also very aging. Sometimes upper eyelids can even be done under local anesthetic in our surgical suite in the office. Come in and talk with Dr. Sellers and his staff about your situation and see if freshening up your eyes might be just the procedure for you.
