The Post Baby Belly
I remember coming home from the hospital after my last baby and thinking that was great to be thin again. Then trying to put on my pre-pregnancy jeans and thinking "What has happened?!" While I was pregnant some one snuck in and took all of my clothes in! What a cruel joke! I actually know very few people (except those in People Magazine) that actually return, after pregnancy, to their pre- baby bodies. Even if you weigh the same, it's not in the same place. Abdominal skin that has been stretched out is rarely the same taught, flat, non-wrinkled skin it was before. Sometimes it will do pretty well with the first baby, but usually by two or three your abdomen just gives up. ( and who can blame it) The bad news about stretched out skin is that there are not enough sit ups in the world to tighten it. The only way to get rid of extra skin is to cut it out.
